Buying Shoes Online

Shopping online is the norm nowadays, and many of us have completely given up the idea of buying anything from a brick-and-mortar store. In fact, some people are even doing their grocery shopping online! But some things are more difficult to shop for, such as clothes and shoes – because the size is not uniform for all brands. You probably know how to use a tailor’s tape measure to get your measurements to compare to any clothing size chart, but what about shoes? How can you judge that a shoe will fit?

Reviews Are Your Best Source Of Truth On The Internet

Regardless of the type of product you are buying – you should be reading customer reviews. This is even more important for shoes, because people are usually commenting on the comfort level, material, and fit. For example, a no bull shoes review would typically be positive, and many customers mention that they are probably the most comfortable cross training shoes they’ve tried. This gives you an indication of the quality of  a pair of shoes before you commit to a purchase.

Note On Authentic Reviews

Keep in mind that the internet is full of trolls and people that are hired to provide fake reviews. Any customer review that is supplemented with photo proof of the purchase can be considered authentic. If you notice too many comments are similarly worded, they are probably artificial and you shouldn’t trust those robot-like reviews. If a product is recommended by an influencer whose opinion you trust, then you can consider it authentic as well.

How To Measure Your Feet At Home

If you already know your exact shoe size, then you can easily refer to a size conversion chart if it is provided. Otherwise, you should try measuring your feet at home. This is relatively simple, and all you’ll need is a piece of paper (A4 is fine), a pencil, and a ruler. After drawing a straight line on the paper, stand on the paper with your foot aligned with the line you drew. Mark the line where your biggest toe starts, and your heel. Measure the length between your markings and use it to compare to a size chart.

Flat Feet And Other Podiatric Problems

If you have any problems with your feet, or even if your feet are simply unusually shaped (wider feet that aren’t as long, or the opposite) – then you should look for reviews that mention your problem. Otherwise, search for a website that will allow you to return the shoes if they don’t fit well. This isn’t usually a problem, but flat feet can be a problem for many people. Reviews will help you understand the quality and design of the shoes better, so you should research diligently.

Shopping for shoes online doesn’t have to be a stressful affair. Overtime, you will have learned which manufacturers carry a size that is most comfortable for your feet, and you will be able to walk around in better shoes without every needing to visit a physical footwear store.
